Ahhhhh …

Such weird weather ripped through our little world yesterday (but nothing compared to the devastation that hit Ohio and other parts of the Midwest).  We had a smorgasbord … from pelting rain to intense sun and back again …. with rainbows to boot.  I don’t know how Nourishing Words was able to dodge the drops and thunderbolts and create her wattle fence … but am certainly impressed and inspired!

In response to a request from a soccer buddy … I’ve created a World Cup Pool using Pool Tracker.  It’s open to the public … and I believe that if you click this link, you should be able to figure out how to join up … should you be so inclined.  The more the merrier (and there’s no $$ involved.)

As for the rest of it … between the oil spill, the MLB and NHL news, and this report from Mother Jones uncovering more about how the Bush Administration treated detainees … I am about to head back to bed.

But not without commeting on the oddness of Sir Elton John singing at Rush Limbaugh’s 4th wedding.

He paid 1 million dollars for Elton to sing, apparently … and Elton sang.

Does anyone else find this pretty much entirely gross?

I sure do … but then, I’m kinda cranky this morning.

Hrumph! All that phooey philly pluff I plow through over and over and then over again–lately even about ICE HOCKEY for god’s sake– and today no mention–not even the slightest glance or tiniest nod –in the direction of the Celtics most excellent win last night. Cranky indeed! As I said, hrumph!
